These terms are the agreement between you and Sendsei ("we," "us") for using the Sendsei browser extension and website. Sendsei is operated by Christopher Giancola. By using Sendsei, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Sendsei.
1. Sendsei is AI, and AI can be wrong
Sendsei is an AI system, not a person. Its reviews, risk flags, subject suggestions and rewrites are generated by artificial intelligence. They are suggestions, not guarantees.
- Sendsei can misread your intent, miss real problems, flag things that are fine, or suggest wording that doesn't fit your situation.
- Checking the same draft twice can give different results.
- Facts or claims in Sendsei's output may be false, incomplete or out of date. Don't rely on them without checking.
- Sendsei is not legal, HR, medical, financial or other professional advice.
Always read your email yourself before sending it. You decide what you send, and you are solely responsible for every email you send, including any wording you accepted from Sendsei. If Sendsei ever produces something inappropriate or harmful, please report it to hello@sendsei.org.
2. Who can use Sendsei
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sendsei. If you're under 18, please review these terms with a parent or guardian, and you need their permission to buy a paid plan. If you use Sendsei with a work or school email account, you are responsible for making sure your organization allows you to send email content to outside services like ours. Only submit drafts you have the right to share.
3. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep your codes private. You are responsible for activity on your account. You agree that we can email you about your account, billing and changes to these terms.
4. Plans and billing
White Belt is free and includes 4 checks a day. Black Belt costs $10 a month, plus any applicable taxes, and includes 50 checks a day and additional features. Unused checks don't roll over. We may change free features and limits at any time. If we reduce what Black Belt includes, we'll tell subscribers in advance.
Black Belt renews automatically every month. You're charged through Stripe at the start of each monthly billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from "Manage subscription" in the extension, or by emailing hello@sendsei.org. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep Black Belt until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't give refunds for partial months, except as described in these terms or where the law requires.
If we change the price, we'll email you between 7 and 30 days before the new price applies, with instructions for cancelling. If you're charged the new price without having agreed to it, you can cancel within 14 days of that charge and we'll refund the unused part of that month.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Sendsei to:
- break the law, or harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate anyone;
- get around daily limits, or access our servers by automated means or anything other than the extension;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell Sendsei, or use it to build a competing product.
Sendsei runs on Anthropic's AI, so you must also follow Anthropic's Usage Policy (anthropic.com/legal/aup). Sendsei isn't available where U.S. law or our providers prohibit it.
6. Your content
Your drafts, and Sendsei's rewrites of them, are yours. You give us permission to process your drafts only to produce the review you asked for. We don't store your email content; see our Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.
7. Third-party services
Sendsei relies on Anthropic (AI), Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts) and Vercel (hosting). Their services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for their outages or actions.
8. Our property
The Sendsei name, logo, website and software belong to us. These terms don't give you any right to use them beyond using Sendsei as intended.
9. Ending your use
You can stop anytime by removing the extension. To delete your account, email hello@sendsei.org; deleting your account also cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we shut Sendsei down, we'll give reasonable notice, stop billing, and refund the unused part of your current paid month.
10. No warranties
Sendsei is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Sendsei will be available, error-free or accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sendsei is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, harm to relationships or reputation, or any results of emails you send, whether or not you used Sendsei's suggestions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $10. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
12. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of an email you sent, a draft you submitted, or your breaking these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
13. Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem with Sendsei, email hello@sendsei.org first, and we'll try to resolve it informally within 30 days. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may also bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post changes here and update the date above. For significant changes, we'll email paid subscribers before they take effect. Continuing to use Sendsei after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about Sendsei. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to. We may transfer these terms to a successor, such as a company formed to run Sendsei; you may not transfer them without our permission.
